Each year there are so many insightful and valuable events to partake in during Social Media Week, and this year’s 2013 line up sponsored by Nokia is even bigger and better than ever. The international Social Media Week represents five countries simultaneously, hosting events around the globe for one week straight, officially kicking off on September 22nd, 2013, this Sunday. The topical events are educational, networkable and collaborative bringing to light the rising issues and opportunities which effect how we do business in our rapidly evolving social world. SMWLA takes place in “Silicon Beach” (also known by the official name of Santa Monica) since it is the leading hub location of the rising entrepreneurial, media and entertainment, as well as tech industries, all of which are widely represented in the beautiful southern California business minded beach community.
ROC Santa Monica is the Official Headquarters of SMWLA (Social Media Week Los Angeles) and is hosting all the Official Featured Events, some of which registration spaces are still available. A sneak peek of the events coming up this week will be a live taping of the Larry King Now show, where he will be personally interviewing George Takei Tuesday September 24th at 1:00pm, and other notable celebrities are expected to make appearances throughout the week as well.
Crowd funding seminars, photography and design workshops and of course millions of ways to reap the rewards from the power of calculated social media use and leverage in everything from business to family matters including social media use for both pleasure and profession.
This is just a small taste of the offerings that will be served up at ROC Santa Monica for the 2013 Social Media Week Los Angeles, for the complete menu, and to register while there are still limited spaces available, visit the events page here.
