Tech Startup Spotlight on Southern California

For those in Southern California, ingenuity, innovation and entrepreneurship are thriving in the tech startup world of Silicon Beach. It’s finally time for Startup World’s Global Search for “the next big thing” to arrive in Southern California, specifically at Real Office Centers in Santa Monica. Startup World’s search has completed its scheduled pitch contests in Africa and South America and is now canvassing North America, continuing a 36 city treasure hunt.

A panel of expert judges have been selected to be pitched to by 10 (ten) tech startups from Southern California at the event on Wednesday March 6th at ROC Santa Monica, an ideal location given the clientele of Real Office Centers (ROC). The selected tech startup finalist of this event will compete again on the world stage in Silicon Valley later in 2013 against other winners. The final event prizes include a 3 month incubator opportunity with startup accelerator and elite support and global promotion. For the Santa Monica event prizes include an additional value of over $37K!

Startup World will be working with sponsors such as Rackspace, Echo real-time streams, tropo, i/o Ventures, and the Next Web, and local tech organizations like DigitalLA, TechZulu, Silicon Beach Festival founders, and Real Office Centers. This event is guaranteed to bring some serious competition to the Silicon Valley and Northern California regions that have previously dominated in the tech startup scene. Southern California has long been viewed as the celebrity Mecca, with our perfect weather and beautiful people, now it’s time to show the world we really do have it all, brilliance and beauty. This is a great opportunity for the Southern California tech startup scene of Silicon Beach to shine.
